Education at Umeå Forum for Studies on Law and Society

Umeå Forum for Studies on Law and Society offer undergraduate courses and two master's programmes in English. Our courses are aimed at students who want to specialize in law and students and professionals who want to supplement their exams with a legal profile which is relevant for their career.

At Umeå Forum for Studies on Law and Society, we have worked for many years with pedagogical development, and in our education we put special emphasis on the active participation and development of students.

Our research critically approaches law and society from perspectives such as gender, children, class and disability. We have extensive experience in connecting current research to gender awareness, and in integrating gender and equality perspectives in teaching. The students will meet senior researchers in undergraduate education, and in this way current research becomes an integrated part of your education.

Umeå Forum for Studies on Law and Society also gives postgraduate education in law and society. If you have questions regarding postgraduate education, please contact our director of postgraduate education or our scientific leader.
